New Integrity PAC Announces First Round of Endorsements to Support Former Federal Workers Who Support Democracy and the Rule of Law

Integrity PAC will uplift former public servants, who stepped down during the current administration, in running for public office

HUDSON VALLEY, NY – Today, former FBI Section Chief John Sullivan announced the launch of a new political action committee to aid former public servants, who are fighting back against Donald Trump and his allies who are attacking our Democracy and the rule of law.

“As a former civil servant who swore to uphold the Constitution, I created Integrity PAC because I know the personal costs can be high when you put your country first and speak out, and those that do need our support,” said former FBI Analyst John Sullivan. “Integrity PAC is proud to support these dedicated former civil servants who can continue their mission, take back power, stop Donald Trump, and hold his enablers accountable.”

The PAC has endorsed the following candidates for the House of Representatives:

#MD05 Dave Sundberg: Dave began serving his country first in the Air Force, then he transitioned to local law enforcement and served as a detective with the Dover Police Department before joining the Federal Bureau of Investigation shortly after Sept. 11. At the Bureau, he served as the Commander of the FBI’s elite Hostage Rescue Team. He was pushed out soon after Trump took office.

#MI10 Eric Chung: Raised in Madison Heights, Michigan, Chung worked to draft parts of the CHIPS Act and later joined the Department of Commerce to implement the CHIPS Act, as a way to bring jobs and manufacturing back to Michigan. He left after the Trump Administration gutted the program and launched a reckless tariffs agenda that has raised costs on families and put Michigan’s economy at risk.

#NE01 Chris Backemeyer: Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, Chris rose to serve his country at the highest levels, eventually negotiating the Iran nuclear deal. Chris served his country in the U.S. State Department, taking on tough assignments under both Democratic and Republican administrations — tackling counterterrorism, economic policy, and the challenges of the Middle East. He served on the White House National Security Council and later as an advisor in the Executive Office of the Vice President. He also n

#PA07 Ryan Crosswell A former Marine who rose to become a prosecutor in the Department of Justice’s elite Public Integrity Unit, Ryan Crosswell quit rather than agreeing to drop a case against then-New York mayor Eric Adams - and then he stood up and testified against the Trump administration.

#SC01 Nancy Lacore Nancy Lacore became a naval aviator in 1993, with flying tours and staff assignments in Virginia, San Diego, Afghanistan and Africa, among others. Her 35 years of service to the Navy culminated as a three star admiral and Chief of the Navy Reserve, before being fired by Pete Hegseth without explanation last summer.

#VA07 JP Cooney Cooney served as a supervisor in the Department of Justice’s Public Integrity Section and as Chief of the Fraud and Public Corruption Section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. before joining Jack Smith’s Special Counsel’s Office to help lead the investigations and prosecutions of President Donald Trump.

Integrity PAC was born from John Sullivan’s own experience as a seasoned civil servant and his dedication to the Constitution. But when Trump took office in 2025, Sullivan knew he could not protect the Constitution while working for the current administration. Through Integrity PAC, Sullivan hopes to continue the fight against Trump’s attacks on our democracy and support his fellow colleagues who resigned, retired or were filed under Trump and are running for office.

Previously, Sullivan served as the Section Chief of the Intelligence Workforce Development Section in the Directorate of Intelligence at the FBI. He worked as the senior executive for FBI agents, analysts, and professional staff personnel focused on upskilling the workforce.

John began his FBI career in 2008 as a Surveillance Specialist in the Washington Field Office. He worked his way up serving in leadership positions in New York, Israel and Washington, DC. Through his career he served presidents of both parties, working to combat national security threats from foreign adversaries, terrorists in the Middle East, and drug cartels and human traffickers at our southern border. John left the FBI as one of the most senior gay officials in the bureau.
